About J.A. Casillas

Vincent P. Spena
CEO J.A. Casillas East Coast Division.

Vincent’s exceptional range of talent was first noticed by Joel Bergman where he interned and worked for Steve Wynn at Atlandia Design LLC of the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.  His career began as a lead model builder of architectural design for the casino and hotel for 3 years; where he was fortunate to have powerful mentors such as Joel Bergman, Paul Steelman and others that influenced him in hospitality design.  He continued his loyalty to his design team after the sale of the Golden Nugget and worked on various projects for Bally’s Grand Hotel and Casino with Joseph J. Matis & Assoc. Architectural & Interior Design Firm.

Vincent spent 15 years developing his skills in architectural design, hospitality, and entertainment management for various corporate companies.  He was recognized as a leader in the hospitality industry by Harrah’s Corporation to convert Showboat Hotel and Casino to a Harrah’s brand property.  He was project manager of design and construction, instrumental in overseeing the conversion of multi-million dollar expansions for all FF&E for the property.  While working on a project for Showboat he hired Jorge Casillas to complete a hotel tower project.

Vincent and Jorge shared the same passion for great furniture craftsmanship, quality service and expertise in hospitality design, hence a professional friendship began and remained; 8 years later Vince became CEO East Coast Division J.A. Casillas.

Vincent is also active in many civic and community charities.  He has been recognized and awarded in his efforts and support for Alzheimer’s, Cancer and Arthritis Foundations.

Vincent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Real Estate development at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.  He also studied abroad for Architectural Design at University of Rome, Italy.  He resides in Ventnor, NJ with his three children Julianna, Gabriella and Vincent.
